Fikapodden

What is real, and what is not

Satire

Real guests. Made-up show.

The hosts, the studio and everything that happens in it are made up. The guests are real public figures, drawn as caricature LEGO minifigures and voiced by an AI video model, never by themselves. What really happened, and what they really said, is listed under every reel with its sources.

The rules

  • Guests are adult public figures, and only for something they said or did in public: on air, in a podcast, in print or on their own channel.
  • What a guest is quoted saying is listed under the reel with a link to where they said it. Everything else a minifigure says or does is invented, and meant to be too absurd to pass for fact.
  • No private lives: no dating, family, health or money troubles. No tragedies. No unproven allegations.
  • No real voice is cloned. The voices are the video model’s own, made from a written description (“a thick Swedish accent”), never from recordings of anyone.
  • The minifigures are drawn after freely licensed photos, credited on the cast page.

Every source

What each reel stands on, newest first: what really happened, and where it was said or reported.

  1. R08 Nobody Lost Money

    What really happened

    • On 22 July 2021 Svea hovrätt convicted Alexander Ernstberger, VD of the pension company Allra, of mutbrott and trolöshet mot huvudman: six years in prison and a ten-year näringsförbud. The convicted were ordered to pay Pensionsmyndigheten about 170 million kronor in damages, plus interest from 2012.
    • Stockholms tingsrätt had acquitted all four defendants on 31 January 2020. On 28 December 2021 Högsta domstolen refused leave to appeal, so the hovrätt judgment is final.
    • Released on parole in May 2025, he told TV4 Nyhetsmorgon on 31 May 2025: "Det är ingen som har förlorat pengar" ("Nobody has lost any money"), and "Tingsrätten sa att det var rätt. Hovrätten sa att det var fel." ("The district court said it was right. The court of appeal said it was wrong.")
    • In the same interview he was shown fan merch reading "Alla begår väl ekobrott ibland?" ("Everybody commits a financial crime now and then?") and answered: "Men jag har ju inte gjort det hittills." ("But I haven't done one so far.")
    • On TikTok teenagers made him an icon of "grisch", the look of being well off (Språkrådet's new words of 2024); he calls himself a role model for grisch culture.
    • Fikapodden, its hosts and the studio are ours. So are the T-shirt purchase, the penalty shootout, the steaming chair and Majken's last line. Ernstberger says only his own words from TV4.

  2. R07 Illiberal

    What really happened

    • On election night, 13 September 2026, Messiah Hallberg, host of SVT's satire show "Svenska nyheter", turned up behind the reporter in SVT's live broadcast from the Liberals' election party and was asked about the result: "Jag tror att Liberalerna ska vara glada att de har lockat någon att gå och rösta det här året över huvud taget." ("I think the Liberals should be happy they got anyone to go and vote at all this year.")
    • The Liberals got 5.34 percent in the final count, over the 4 percent threshold to the Riksdag.
    • On Instagram he posted a screenshot of the interview with the caption "Sekunderna innan Liberalernas presstjänst slängde ut oss" ("Seconds before the Liberals' press office threw us out"). To Aftonbladet he said: "Efter det hade de plötsligt en mer illiberal inställning till oss." ("After that they suddenly had a more illiberal attitude to us.")
    • That is his account. Rebecka Kvart, press chief to Liberal leader Simona Mohamsson, told Expressen that more than 165 journalists and photographers were accredited, so the party allowed one journalist and one photographer per newsroom, and that "Messiah blev inte alls utslängd men ombedd att alternera med sina kolleger på SVT" ("Messiah was not thrown out at all, but asked to alternate with his colleagues at SVT").
    • Fikapodden, its hosts and the studio are ours. So are the buns, Robbe taking them back, and Majken's "Free speech. One at a time." Messiah says only his own words.

  3. R06 De Stars

    What really happened

    • Framgångspodden episode 1055 (27 September 2026), "Astrologins svar på framtiden: Nästa kris, AI-revolutionen & världsekonomin", was host Alexander Pärleros's first with an astrologer: "Det här är första gången av 1100 avsnitt jag har med en astrolog" ("This is the first time in 1,100 episodes I have an astrologer on", 00:00:48).
    • He asked her: "När sker nästa börskrasch? Så att, hjälp oss. När sker nästa börskrasch?" ("When is the next stock market crash? So, help us. When is the next stock market crash?", 00:32:50).
    • The answer came from the sky: "Oxens tecken styr börsen" ("The sign of Taurus rules the stock market", 00:33:16), Uranus has now left Taurus ("Uranus har lämnat oxen", 00:34:08; Oxen is Swedish for Taurus, and literally "the Ox"), and technology and AI is "det man ska satsa på i börsen" ("what you should bet on in the stock market", 00:35:51).
    • Fikapodden, its hosts and the studio are ours. So are Robbe's crypto question, the cinnamon bun crystal ball, the magic eight ball and Alexander writing it down. He says only his own words, and the astrologer is not in the reel.

  4. R05 Mid-Atlantic

    What really happened

    • In the summer of 2026 Eva Rydberg handed Claes Malmberg the keys, on stage, as the new artistic director of Fredriksdalsteatern in Helsingborg.
    • While he was at sea filming the TV show "Över Atlanten", the deal between the company that runs the theatre and its planned new majority owner 2Entertain fell apart. 2Entertain's CEO told Helsingborgs Dagblad that the conditions they had agreed in the spring "gäller inte längre" ("no longer apply").
    • Malmberg told Aftonbladet: "När jag kom i land hade jag fått ett mejl där det står att jag inte är konstnärlig ledare längre." ("When I came ashore I had an email saying I am no longer artistic director.") The email named the three remaining co-owners as the artistic directors.
    • He added: "Jag är också förvånad att det här beslutet tas just när jag [är] på Atlanten och ingen kan nå mig." ("I am also surprised this decision is taken just when I am on the Atlantic and nobody can reach me.") The complaint about the timing is his. Nobody has been shown to have timed it.
    • Fikapodden, its hosts and the studio are ours. So are the rocking table, the paper plane, Robbe's "pivot" and Majken's line about Swedish firing. Claes says only his own words.

  5. R04 Traitor

    What really happened

    • On TV4's Nyhetsmorgon on 21 September 2026, Johan Pehrson, former Liberal leader and education minister and Sweden's incoming ambassador to Portugal, was revealed as a contestant in season 6 of "Förrädarna" (The Traitors), TV4's game in which the traitors deceive the others and the others try to unmask them. It premieres on 22 October.
    • He said: "Jag är med i denna fantastiska mordgåta. Man tar det på blodigt, blodigt allvar." ("I'm in this fantastic murder mystery. You take it with bloody, bloody seriousness.")
    • He compared the game to politics: "Man är ju under kontroll hela tiden i politiken, och det är en likhet. När vi spelar in den här mordgåtan är alla hela tiden observanta och kontrollerar varandra." ("You're under scrutiny all the time in politics, and that's one similarity. When we record this murder mystery everyone is observant all the time and checking each other.") What he compared was the constant watching, not the lying. Putting his "just like in politics" after Majken's line about lying is our framing.
    • Asked what he had learned: "Man ska ha med sig tillräckligt med grejer att byta om med." ("You should bring enough stuff to change into.")
    • Fikapodden, its hosts and the studio are ours. So are the hot chair, the exploding suitcase, Robbe's notes and "classic traitor move". The season has not aired, and nothing here says whether he plays a traitor. Johan says only his own words.

  6. R03 Moon Man

    What really happened

    • At the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on 27 September 2026, "Storm", the seven-minute short film by Yung Lean and the French producer Gener8ion, had four nominations (video of the year, best choreography, best direction and best long-form video) and won none: "fick visserligen inga priser" ("did not win any prizes", GP).
    • They closed the show with the first live performance of "Storm II". In the school-uniform look of the "Storm" video, Yung Lean carried one of MTV's Moon Person statuettes onto the stage and smashed it on the floor (Nyheter24: he "marscherade in med en av galans ikoniska statyetter i handen", "marched in with one of the gala's iconic statuettes in his hand").
    • To close the performance he ate an ice cream, walked up to the camera, spat on the lens and wiped it with the cone (Billboard). It was part of the act, in the character of the video.
    • He said nothing on record about any of it, so in the reel he says nothing at all.
    • Fikapodden, its hosts and the studio are ours. So are Robbe smashing the coffee pot, "zero is just a number", "so it counts as a win" and the ice cream on our camera.

  7. R02 Brie

    What really happened

    • On TV4's Efter fem (4 September 2026) Isabella Löwengrip said that Swedes have a big problem with some French cheeses: some say "brye", some say "chevré". Anyone who orders them that way, she said, and she gets up and leaves.
    • She told TV4 she does not ask for French, but the cheeses cannot be said "på Svensson-svenska" ("in Svensson Swedish").
    • In a clip from Framgångspodden she described her mornings: breakfast prepared the night before by a chef, then someone who did her makeup every morning, then someone who dressed her.
    • Fikapodden, its hosts and the studio are ours. So are Robbe's "brye", Majken's French, Bella walking back in, and the cheese pronouncer, which is Majken's line. Bella says only her own words and does the walk-out she described.

    • In a Sveriges Radio P4 clip from Dilemmajouren med Farah, posted on 25 September 2026, Isabella Löwengrip said: "Jag hatar ordet fika. Det är såhär svenssonord." ("I hate the word fika. It's such a Svensson word.")
    • In the same clip she said "Fika, gå bort" ("Fika, go away"), and waved off an after-work drink and public transport the same way.
    • Also in the clip: "Allting som är dyrt blir alltid 75 procent bättre." ("Everything expensive is always 75 percent better.")
    • Fikapodden, its hosts Majken and Robbe and the kitchen are ours. So are the hidden buns, the premium fika at a thousand kronor a bun and the brunch line, which is Robbe's. Bella says only her own words.

  10. Cast Fröken Snusk

    What really happened

    • Växjö's Karl-Oskardagarna festival then took her off its programme, saying it would not be part of a political campaign. She played a restaurant in Växjö instead.
    • After the cancellation Gozzi told SVT they were "här för att provocera" ("here to provoke").
