Fikapodden

Moon Man

Four VMA nominations, zero wins, one Moon Person smashed on the floor. Yung Lean comes on the podcast and says exactly what he said on record: nothing.

Reel 3 of 8 33 seconds

Zero is just a number, bro. Mindset.
The reel’s line, spoken by a minifigure. What was really said is below.
Satire

Real guests. Made-up show.

The hosts, the studio and everything that happens in it are made up. The guests are real public figures, drawn as caricature LEGO minifigures and voiced by an AI video model, never by themselves. What really happened, and what they really said, is listed under every reel with its sources.

What is real, and every source

What really happened

  • At the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on 27 September 2026, "Storm", the seven-minute short film by Yung Lean and the French producer Gener8ion, had four nominations (video of the year, best choreography, best direction and best long-form video) and won none: "fick visserligen inga priser" ("did not win any prizes", GP).
  • They closed the show with the first live performance of "Storm II". In the school-uniform look of the "Storm" video, Yung Lean carried one of MTV's Moon Person statuettes onto the stage and smashed it on the floor (Nyheter24: he "marscherade in med en av galans ikoniska statyetter i handen", "marched in with one of the gala's iconic statuettes in his hand").
  • To close the performance he ate an ice cream, walked up to the camera, spat on the lens and wiped it with the cone (Billboard). It was part of the act, in the character of the video.
  • He said nothing on record about any of it, so in the reel he says nothing at all.
  • Fikapodden, its hosts and the studio are ours. So are Robbe smashing the coffee pot, "zero is just a number", "so it counts as a win" and the ice cream on our camera.

MAJKEN: (flat) It was staged. In character.

ROBBE: (matter-of-fact) Staged? So it counts as a win.

(Yung Lean, silent, pulls out an ice cream cone.)

MAJKEN: And den, de ice cream.

ROBBE: Nej nej nej, not on our camera.

(Yung Lean leans into the camera, spits ice cream onto the lens, then wipes it with the cone.)

ROBBE: (off to the side) Content.
